JEWISH HERITAGE TOUR OF POLAND

Full-day guided tour of Jewish sites, including the site of the Warsaw ghetto and the uprising monument, Nozyk Synagogue and Okopowa Cemetery, Uumschlagplaz, Mila 18 bunker memorial and the Jewish Historical Institute. The afternoon continues with a visit including views of the royal route, royal castle, gothic St. Johns Cathedral, old market square, Lazienki Royal Park and the nearby Belvedere Palace. (B, D,O)

Transfer to Warsaw railway station to take the first class train from Warsaw to Krakow. Upon arrival in Krakow, visit to the Kazimierz, the former Jewish section, than the ancient Remuh Synagogue and the nearby old cemetery. Stop at the old synagogue, Szeroka Street, and drive to former ghetto zone, near Oskar Schindler’s factory. (B,D,O)

We drive to Auschwitz/ Birkenau to visit the concentration camp. After return to Krakow, free time in the city. (B,D,O)

Morning guided tour of royal Krakow, beginning from Wawel Hill, viewing the royal castle and visiting the royal cathedral. Enjoy the walking tour of the old town, where you will visit the main market square, renaissance hall and St. Mary’s Church, where a masterpiece in wood – a gothic altar – can be seen. Afternoon trip to Wieliczka salt mines, the most impressive medieval factory, beautifully preserved. Overnight in Krakow. (B,D,O)

Departure to Lublin. After the orientation tour, dinner and overnight. (B,D,O)

The tour of Lublin begins from Majdanek Martyrology Museum. Walking through the area, see the barracks, camp remains and exhibitions. Continue to Lublin, pass by Yeshiva Chachmei, the Talmudic school, now housing a synagogue, the Jewish ghetto monument and other landmarks. Depart for Warsaw. Farewell dinner at a local restaurant.
