Tour Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrival to Belgrade, hotel accommodation. Visit to the Ethnographic Museum Belgrade comprising numerous folklore exhibitions. Short introduction by most prominent Serbian ethnographic expert on the Serbian handwork. Traditional lunch. Afternoon visit to the workshop of handmade folklore costumes and variety of ethnographic products: leather "opanci" (hand-made leather shoes, embroidery, weaving products). Traditional dinner in Skadarlija restaurant. Overnight.
Day 2: After breakfast drive along highway to Velika Plana and visit to the traditional settlement presenting authentic Serbian customs and old-crafts. Folklore performance and refreshment. Drive on to Rtanj Mountain and hotel accommodation. Presentation on handwork. Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 3: After breakfast drive along beautiful mountain slopes to Soko Banja Spa and visit to "Adonis Company", the best Serbian expert on medicinal herbs and teas. Short refreshment. Traditional lunch in the restaurant on the river with presentation on the water-mill. Drive on to Knjazevac and visit to the National Museum followed by folklore performance. Big traditional dinner in Svrljig and hotel accommodation and overnight in Nis.
Day 4: After breakfast drive through gorgeous Sicevo Gorge along Nisava River to Pirot the town of handmade carpets and rugs. Traditional lunch and half-day workshop with local weavers in most prominent handmade rugs. Visit to the Museum of Ponisavlje with large exhibitions of thousand handmade socks with impressive motifs. Handmade carpets workshop (weaving). Hotel/apartments accommodation. Traditional dinner (rostilj - grilled meat) and overnight.
Day 5: After breakfast drive to Vrnjacka Banja Spa with stopover in Ljubostinja Monastery for exhibition of handworks embroidered by nuns. Hotel accommodation in Vrnjacka Banja and visit to the Ethno-designed manufactures - cloths production and handmade leather shoes shopping exhibition (opanci). Traditional dinner, overnight.
Day 6: After breakfast drive via Cacak to Grabovica village. Traditional exhibition on handmade artifacts (weaving, glass hand-painting, knitting). Traditional lunch. Late afternoon drive to Belgrade. Evening arrival and end of program.
